Most kids get home from school famished and exhausted. The perfect solution to get them from hangry* to happy? A tasty, satisfying snack! In the old days, moms would offer a few packaged cookies or salami sandwich and be done, right? Nowadays,we know better. These fast snacks, although easy, are full of unhealthy ingredients. Here, some of my top picks for easy and guilt-free snacks to tide them over till dinnertime:

These are delicious muffins with only 10 minutes of prep time, require 2 bowls max, and are free of refined ingredients. Kids love them and you will feel like Mother Theresa for making them. You should make 2 batches and place in the freezer so you will have enough to last you a few weeks.

Another great option. I love these whole-grain tortillas loaded with protein-packed goodies. If I am short on time, I may use whole wheat pita chips instead. This is a great idea and you can tailor to your kids preferences.
These are healthy and packed with flavor. Edamame is stored in the freezer and microwaved at snack time. Mix with the glaze and you have a snack kids love, ready in a flash. Genius.
